I agree that if there's an onslaught of neverending questions about this it's annoying or distressing. I suppose this might happen at a party, but in a family setting people will probably ask little. I've been asked why I don't drink rarely and was never pushed to (I think). But I don't go to (big) parties.

@jackemled@furry.engineer @digichelle@hachyderm.io I also think it's reasonable to treat this differently than chips just because drinking is de facto so universal. The non-drinker is stranger than the non-chips-eater. To want to know why is natural. It might be helpful to know if the reason is otherwise relevant (health issues or so), which is more likely for non-drinkers than non-chips-eaters.
