@ncrav@mas.to They're relying on the "they just don't want children to be safe" misrepresentation to work on enough people that those people don't hear what it's really about, and don't recognise the truth for themselves, that they get away with it and can monitor what everybody does all the time. It's cheaper than paying police to investigate crimes using legitimate routes through a robust legal system.

@ncrav@mas.to Worth probing who's behind it, too. It's all a deflection from the demand that big social actually cleans up its act. Big social has state backing right now from Washington, which adds some layers.
