Transplanted a few seedling into pots before the weed eater makes an appearance tomorrow. Feels so good to be digging in the dirt.
Two Blue Elder (Sambucus cerulea) and two little Idaho Gooseberry (Ribes oxycanthoides subsp. irrigum)
I have my eyes on a few more!

The larger elderberry seedling (in the first photo) is a bit droopy, and I think that's because it was growing in a pretty shady spot. Hopefully it will perk up a bit, eventually. Both were located along a fence line, which of course reminds me of a saying that I first heard in Louisiana: the best way to grow an elderberry from a seed is through a bird
