@edg@mstdn.social there is no fear like the fear of transition. I literally could not get past it. It’s overwhelming and honestly I decided not to transition. Then this other part of my consciousness would take over. Most of my early transition was done in a sort of fugue state while I was consciously saying I wasn’t gonna transition. There was a whole battle inside me between two different personalities. It’s such a scary proposition that it literally broke my brain.

    @FinalGirl@blackqueer.life it's such and imposing and monolithic fear. If it happens that is kind of how I imagine it going down. I keep saying I'm not transitioning while pushing my boundaries further and further....

    @edg@mstdn.social for what it’s worth, I was 50 and by a couple years in I was like “wait… I pretended to be a boy for how long? Weird. What a fever dream.”
