It needs quite a lot of theoretical background, if you really want to make an antenna that's different from the usual retail stuff. There are some professional radio engineers in Ukraine, totally busy with the military work.

@bonkers@nerdculture.de I don't imagine that I would produce something superior to a professional build, but I live in a built-up area and want to produce and mount something elevated to better tranceive UHF. I mainly want to do it to save money and to prove I can. Would be good to create something for a base rig that out-perform the stock antenna.
