@JustinMac84@mastodon.social Sighted person here. Electrical engineer with years of design and soldering experience. Without knowing the exact application, it's hard to go into a lot of detail. But this is an interesting challenge and I hope I can provide some useful info Are you soldering wires together? Through hole soldering onto pcbs? These might work because you can do all the setup tactilely and then you just dab with solder to finish. Surface mount soldering? BGAs and other hidden contacts? These require so much visual feedback due to the precision required, it's very hard to imagine how to do them sightless. But I'd be super interested if you find a way! Have you ever heard of "wire wrap"? It's an old school technology for electrical connections that I think you could do entirely tactilely. It can look very elegant as well. I encourage you to look into that.

@simmer@sfba.social Stoked to receive your reply. Thank you so much for taking the time. I want to make my own antennas...to start with anyway...then who knows? But yeah that's where I'd like to start. I've heard of crimp connectors and have seen a video that recommends them. I'm not sure how much build quality I would sacrifice though. Good to meet you and thanks for reaching out!
