@VintageProject@oldbytes.space Very sure PVC if it has any kind of bright color, that isolation got use since the 1940s
(the period of using rubber isolation after textile was short, it was already crumbing away then)
If you want to know you can make a Beilstein test to be sure

@Laberpferd@sueden.social I've never seen the transparent stuff until silicone came along. As for testing, the plan is to replace it with modern wires. I can send you the old stuff for testing. 😉
