@leeloo@c.im You would think this would solve things, but sadly not. I come from a medical, military, and aviation background. A common tenet is that NOT intervening when you see a hazard, is not just wrong, but abandonment and contributing to a failure mode Like right now, I am explaining because from your question I don't see signs that formal risk mitigation and harm reduction is part of your experience. The harm of you thinking me an idiot is lower than you not understanding @michcampbell@fediscience.org

    @screwturn@mastodon.social @michcampbell@fediscience.org I answered the other half of your question. Nobody ever said that "Look out! Bear!" is mansplaining. But if you go from there to explaining to a biologist who is simply unaware of the bear behind her why a bear can be dangerous, yes that's mansplaining.
