@tnt@chaos.social they did exactly this to me too. I told them if there are additional costs unrelated to the duty then they should be recovered from whoever contracted them. what they're doing is also illegal in the UK now.

@gsuberland@chaos.social :/ I'm not sure there is anything equivalent here unfortunately. But I will for sure avoid picking FedEx for any LCSC order in the future.

@gsuberland@chaos.social @tnt@chaos.social I also had similar back in 2024 with a FedEx LCSC delivery. I eventually got a credit note after 2 months of pointing out the fee was listed under "Charges billed to shipper" (when viewed online) and I was the consignee.
