@cadey@pony.social I actually worked on slot machine games for a few years. I won't call it a "highly" regulated industry but it certainly is. You are expected to prove that there's a certain level of pay back to the user and that it matches the advertised rate of pay and volatility. We had to run these tests that would go for days on the backend part of the game. thousands of games a second for days. If it was off by a mere fraction of a percent--we'd have to go figure out why. It sucked. Slots win.
