A lot of Polish food feels kind of weird in texture and taste though.
I will still eat it, mind you, but I won't really enjoy it.
And it's not that it is bad, but the flavor profile is kind of off for me.
Pierogi for example. Much beloved by Poles. I find every variety I tried unpleasant.
(Although that's kind of weird as the common varieties definitely are different flavors, none of which I enjoy)

Which got me thinking: what are the dishes I do actually genuinely enjoy here? Bigos is one. A sauerkraut stew with meat. Very hearty and filling. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bigos

@kyonshi ich hab mal eine Pirogge gegessen, nach ostpreußischem Rezept - lecker! (aber das war vor 60 Jahren)
