Which got me thinking: what are the dishes I do actually genuinely enjoy here?
Bigos is one. A sauerkraut stew with meat. Very hearty and filling.

Żurek is another, a soup from fermented grains with other things. Sounds horrid, is actually quite pleasant to eat. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sour_cereal_soup
