@nedbat For sure, but at least for a potential new driver it will be obvious the engine needs to be started and that wall in the way will prevent movement. Whereas nothing may be plainly obvious to a new programmer.

@abosio @nedbat If one grew up with one's parents driving a car that stopped its engine at red lights, it might seem logical that the car should just go when the accelerator is pushed? And... actually, why doesn't it work that way (with safety caveats)?
