In the end the new #Datenschleuder made it here, and yeah, the cover looks the way how others have posted and indeed has the completely unacceptable sexist message on it, basically saying that only a dead man is a good man. That’s the direct implication, there is no other way to read this! As I’ve said before: Imagine this the other way around! You’d have to go to ultra-fringe incels to see this about women. But somehow this is supposedly okay in club whose charta has always condemned all forms of bigotry and issued a declaration of incompatibility if you hold those believes. A declaration that accompanied this edition as a fold-out poster FFS! And I can already see what would happen if a cis men would complain about this. Half the people would decent on him, call him an MRA, sarcastically would talk about “not all men”-posting, completely missing the point that the problem with bigotry is not that it hits the wrong people, but that it hits anyone! Basically: Men are supposed to be fine with behavior that is tamer than this being labeled „toxic masculinity“, but because this is targeting men, it’s not masculinity and therefore supposedly fine? As in: The issue really was the “masculinity” part and not the “toxic” part after all? Is that the message we should send? Frankly, I want an apology of the responsible people for this and an acknowledgement that this is not okay! #CCC #Chaos #ChaosComputerClub #sexism

Hi I get your problem with the sticker but I dont agree with your analysis. The statement that only a dead man is a good man ist true but not the only resolution to the problem of men. A person living in society which was born into the role of man can reject it and stop identifying with the perscribed role of a patriarichal system. Thuss I see this message rather in a gender aboltionist view which you can critique but it is not sexist. I think you can make the point that a man in our system can not not have and profit from patriachical power with the exeption of not existing which is either accomplished by dying or actively trying to destroy these privileges for which I'd say you cant be a man. Of course the messaging is quite radical, basically telling men to become class traitors. But I think its not a stretch to belive that the authors of the magazin do not believe that every perso with a dick is a man. The thing that actually icks me about this sticker is the use of the word bastard. Like why is a term used to discredit childreen from people outside of marriage, which for Queer especially homosexual and poly ppl is often not possible, used as an insult. As well as marriage being a shitty construct to preserve patriarchy

@Fiona It is a mind boggling combination to ship it together with this section.

Okay, looking at the backside “😢😢😢 Fragile Männlichkeit” and “Männer LOL” are less bad, but also not okay! All of these attack people over their gender, with the former one even going the step further and essentially reinforcing the idea that men are not allowed to show weakness. This kind of shit is, in a microcosm, why I cannot get myself to identify with the label “feminist”. I believe in equality, and that has to apply for everyone! (On a side-note, while I’m at it: I do not consider the pictures of a vulva and an uterus problematic, but they are cringe, and I suspect that some people would have complaints, if a similarly detailed penis was on the cover, just sayin’.)

@Fiona@blahaj.zone lmao thats based but hilarious coming from the ccc they should definitely start with their own ranks “When a group of people [such as racialized individuals] has little or no power over you institutionally, they don’t get to define the terms of your existence, they can’t limit your opportunities, and you needn’t worry much about the use of a slur to describe you and yours, since, in all likelihood, the slur is as far as it’s going to go. What are they going to do next: deny you a bank loan? Yeah, right. … White perceptions are what end up counting in a white-dominated society. If whites say [Indigenous people] are savages (be they of the “noble” or vicious type), then by God, they’ll be seen as savages. If [Indigenous people] say whites are mayonnaise-eating Amway salespeople, who the hell is going to care? If anything, whites will simply turn it into a marketing opportunity. When you have the power, you can afford to be self-deprecating, after all” -- Tim Wise
