@jakobrosin @DavidGoldfield I'm actually curious how you were doing that? I thought openClaw was primarily useful for commandline stuff and managing things like email, calendar, etc. ... how were you getting it to play nice with UIs, the claude code crhome extension? As for Anthropic blocking it ... it's a little weird. Me and a bunch of others received an email last week, saying as much as "other harnesses like OpenClaw will now only work with extra usage", which ... is odd if the idea is to outright block it. Probably rohibitively expensive for a lot of openCLaw workflwos but might still work for what you were doing

@zersiax @DavidGoldfield Basically, yes, there is an OpenClaw Chrome extension which was able to use the browser and click around. It also used web scraping in some situations, but for example with WordPress it just used the WordPress REST API for giving the commands directly. It very much depended on what tool you were using. Because I had created itself a Google account and it had its own Google Drive, which had then folders shared to my actual Google Drive so that it wouldn't hijack my actual contents, I could just paste files into its Google Drive and then have it retrieve them and do whatever it needed. For example, with web, for example checking into flights, you could just give it the flight number and it either used a headless Chrome browser or the Chrome extension to perform the check-in. It actually worked very, very well. With Anthropic blocking access, it hasn't directly blocked it. As you say, it uses the extra usage credits, but because sometimes OpenClaw can be very, very heavy on using the tokens, it becomes way more expensive than the subscription model, which I think is fair because a lot of people were overusing the system. I'm sure there's some optimization I could do, and I definitely would need to look into that at some point. Right now it was just frustrating because a great tool I was using just became less great.
