find it incredible that the #UK is just... Going about its business, reliant on oil as it is, and doing fuck all to ration it before we run out of reserves.
Reminds me of when COVID started and we were watching the virus rip across the UK population, and did nothing about it until it was too late.
I wonder what happens next 🤡

@QueerMatters@mstdn.social COVID was when I gave up on climate change. Even if you ignore the millions of dead, and the millions more left disabled, the neoliberal hegemony couldn’t bring themselves to incur large short-term financial costs for an enormous long-term financial benefit, and climate change is several orders of magnitudes larger in all these factors.
