@williampietri@sfba.social What the hell happened to this guy? I read all his books up to The God Delusion, and they were all coherent and well argued. Then something seemed to happen to him after he wrote that and now he's basically JK Rowling without the boy wizard.

@williampietri@sfba.social that's actually quite common that people leave traditional religions behind just to move to a new one like believing in the simulation theory. An uncaring universe without some higher being looking out for use is hard to stomach for many people. Perhaps this is even stronger in people like Dawkins who are so full of themselves that they can't deal with not being special.
