@williampietri@sfba.social that's actually quite common that people leave traditional religions behind just to move to a new one like believing in the simulation theory. An uncaring universe without some higher being looking out for use is hard to stomach for many people. Perhaps this is even stronger in people like Dawkins who are so full of themselves that they can't deal with not being special.
