💭 since CPython will now ship with LLM generated patches, will new Ren'Py visual novels on itch.io have to tag themselves as containing "AI generated code"?

@asie don't worry, "LLM" is a magical word that lets you bypass all the rules: - bypasses copyright - bypasses corporate security policies - bypasses even fedi's culture of CW-ing exhausting topics that people are sick of why would it not bypass Itchio's labelling rules as well?

@asie@mk.asie.pl I feel like this exact dilemma is the reason for the VSCode "copilot takes credit for your work" thing. they're creating intentional ambiguity to make it harder to filter out tainted code. I would be impressed at the skullduggery if they were, y'know, not using it to ruin everything. edit: maybe instead of "has AI / doesn't have AI" we can move to something like a water cleanliness scale. "contaminated by user", "contaminated by easily-replaced dependency", "contaminated by core library"

@asie since everything Microsoft is now slop, every single game released past a certain threshold should tag themselves as such
