Close followers might have noticed that I’ve been complaining about losing reach for text after the Twitterpocalypse, fewer speaking opportunities due to Unprecedented Times™ and their effect on conferences, and nobody “getting” svcs. While complaining about reality is fun, I’m also aware that adjustment is necessary for survival and I’ve decided to take on a project this fall: producing a YouTube video about svcs! I think it came out decent for being my first! It would mean a lot to me if y’all could signal to The Algorithm™ the me in general and the video in particular are Good, Actually: watch it, comment it, subscribe! I have MANY ideas where to take things from here. I don’t want to replace blog, but I’ve got 20 years of material to share to a new audience and 10 years experience at giving engaging presentations – dabbling video seems like the logical next step! 2/x

@hynek@mastodon.social I've never heard about svcs, I probably even don't have an application where to apply this as of now, but I've watched the video from start to end, because it was interesting and fun.
