@Techaltar@mas.to they care about you, you as in like the 0,03 cents per ad shown (idk the real revenues there). the problem is that some people really turn their adblockers off to just waste bandwidth, electricity, compute resouces and get disappointed.

@Techaltar@mas.to I decided to give them a way out. After all, the ads pay for content, I get for free. Now I don't use an adblocker anymore. But I still use a tracking blocker. If the ad is still blocked, I don't feel responsible. I still don't see many ads...

@Techaltar@mas.to I'm at a point where I won't tolerate any ads. It's my device, I won't let content be displayed on it if I don't want it there. I never disable ad blocking, and if the website blocks me for it, I'll go somewhere else. If an app serves ads, I uninstall it immediately regardless of how useful it is. Eventually when AR becomes common, I'll have IRL ad blocks installed on it and just walk around the city with cute pictures of puppies instead of ads.
