on the positive side, the lousy internet means people will once again have to learn how to organize face-to-face and locally, maybe go back to paper and printing
back to the old basics, they may be slower and in some ways riskier, but there's a special power to them

@amici I'm afraid you are very wrong. Here are some facts that you have overlooked as far as I can tell: 1. Iran launched "National Internet" some years ago, meaning the local banks, local websites, local emails, local messaging, ... and etc. works normally and without interruption (and of course under surveillance of the gov). 2. The issue of internet blackout is that people will have no source to news other than what gov is feeding them. This is the real problem.
