I'm camping out in my basement for the weekend because I tested positive for #covid today. 😭 Fortunately I have a pretty mild case, and I was able to get a script for Paxlovid because of my medical history. I hope that will reduce the odds of me getting long covid, although I've been warned it increases the odds of rebounding so I still have to take it really easy once I've recovered. As a ballet teacher, this is very difficult for me.

@awkwardlefty_cj@eldritch.cafe I’m sorry to hear. Fwiw, I got a rebound after taking #Paxlovid. And then I heard that it was originally meant to be taken for 7 or 8 days but Pfizer reduced the dose to 5 out of concern they couldn’t produce enough for everyone. So the goal became to keep people out of the hospital instead of wipe out the #Covid virus in bodies. I suspect if I had a couple more days of it I wouldn’t have rebounded.
