(I stick to powered flight myself - "every landing a forced landing", and over terrain like that too!)

@TimWardCam Yeah, there is no go-around with a glider, so we have to practice landings very well before departing on such a flight. There are established meadows that are (probably) safe to land and we always keep them in safe gliding distance in case the thermals run out. I really like the challenge of it, plus its a very calm and peaceful way of flying.
