This may also explain a lot of LLM popularity in general. People who are deathly afraid someone views them as incompetent for asking a silly question asks their silly questions from a random sentence assembler, gets silly answers. @rastilin @abstractcode @geekygirldawn

@osma @abstractcode @geekygirldawn It's not a baseless worry if those people are writing your performance reviews and decide if you get to eat. I've seen people right in Mastodon complain about AI in the same paragraph they complain about needing to teach the juniors with absolutely zero sense of irony. EDIT: If what you want is for LLMs to be less popular in tech, step 1 is understanding why they're attractive to people in the first place.
