@f4grx actually, it seems to write the part numbers to the footprint metadata? at least, like… on some footprints? I'm honestly not quite sure what's going on…

@slyka are you still using component files like in the old kicad 3 days? I never did that tbh. In my project all footprints and component properties are defined in the schematic editor and exported to pcbnew directly from there. edit: ah ok there is a jlcpcb plugin ? I have zero experience here, sorry.
