@Thorium @EthicalProfessor I'm atheist and I like him too. I also liked Pope Francis. Seems like they are the new generation of popes that are more open and progressive and not stuck entirely in the old ways.

@rejzor @EthicalProfessor l am also an atheist and also liked Francis. Obviously, there are some of their stances that I disagree with, but standing up for morality against the scum running the US, Russia, and Israel (plus others) is awesome. I hope this attitude filters down to local churches as well.

@rejzor I wouldn't go so far as progressive. The problem is that the USA has drifted so far to the right that your conservatives are literal hardcore fascists nowadays But they do love up to the conservative ethics that the Catholic church has been preaching for a long time without really applying it. And strong drop off hypocrisy, call it honesty, is something that even atheists can acknowledge. That's literally what is missing from today's politicians @Thorium @EthicalProfessor
