Something weird this morning. Perth almost never gets contrails because no through routes pass anywhere near it but this morning there were at least 3. They headed from North or Northeast towards South or Southwest.I saw two aircraft about an hour apart and I could see the trail from at least one earlier. It is possible there may have been more depending on how long a trail stays visible for.

@Steveg58@aus.social From what I could see in Flightradar they were FIFO flights coming into Perth from the far North, but swinging far to the South before making an approach on runway 03 or 06. They did not appear to start descent until well South of Perth.

@Steveg58@aus.social Yes they were very noticeable and well defined. I thought that the first one was from quite a small plane, I called Rob out to see because it was a fine contrail wasn't it!?
