  We watched the first episode of the 14th series of Death in Paradise last night. If any non-Australians out there are unclear about the meaning of the phrase 'whinging pom' then look no further than DI Mervin Wilson. Actually from personal experience he is on the milder side of the phenomenon.

  Something weird this morning. Perth almost never gets contrails because no through routes pass anywhere near it but this morning there were at least 3. They headed from North or Northeast towards South or Southwest.I saw two aircraft about an hour apart and I could see the trail from at least one earlier. It is possible there may have been more depending on how long a trail stays visible for.

  The absolutely stupid thing about iSnack 2.0 was that it was a good product that tasted good and mimicked what a lot of people already did with Vegemite. I think that if they hadn't given it such a terminally stupid and embarrassing name it would have been a runaway success. #RandomThought
