So a while back I got a good deal on some old panel indicators, the kind that take little bayonet lamps (typically type 47).
Well it turned out these had a resistor in series because the sockets were intended for neon lamps. Today I discovered those resistors are removable, and I was able to replace them with a piece of wire

I had a neon lamp and a clear lens, so I left one with the resistor in place and labeled it. The rest are all swapped out.

@forty2@oldbytes.space Hmm, If there resistor value were changed, it might be good for ballasting an LED.
