As always, my eagerness to embrace pleasant weather is in part driven by climate-related dread, especially with Canada's answer to oil prices appearing to be "all oil all the time, climate and Indigenous agreements at the foundation of this so-called nation and the well-being of all who call it and the planet home be damned!" instead of, like, renewable infrastructure, public transit, degrowth, massive social investment, basic income, massive wealth taxes to fund robust infrastructure to keep people fed, housed, and cared for during the next century of various kinds of collapse. Plus, El Nino year and the local news is saying even though we had a fair amount of snow this winter, it wasn't enough to keep our province well-hydrated and we're looking at a dry summer. Beep boop, right? So if we get a couple weeks of pleasant weather before the disaster season of 11.5 months starts up I've got an unnerving appetite for it.i
