But the eeriest thing are the completely empty timetables in the occupied territories. Especially when contrasted with the international services advertised right under the empty timetables.
But this isn't the full picture, because railroads were actually used in the Republic of Serbian Krajina. Information is scarce, and there wasn't anything resembling regular passenger service, but RSK did use at least some of these railroads, including for military purposes. This requires more research.

Sisak Caprag - Karlovac is notable for a few reasons. It was virtually fully within the occupied territory and, unlike all the other railroads, it was never restored after the war. It was struck down from the railroad register and the tracks ripped out. It is never coming back.
