@flwwhtrbt@mastodon.social This little guy has been on my radar for a little while now, but I havenโt been able to justify pulling the trigger as I already own a TempoTec V1. Still tempts me, thoโฆ

@flwwhtrbt@mastodon.social I have a lot of music I actually own and I love it. One question, how do you discover new songs and artists? I loved Plexamp when it still had the Tidal integration and it was amazing to find knew stuff that matched your own taste. But now that this is gone, I haven't found a good way to expand my library without a separate streaming service. But having this detached from my own library is kinda cumbersome.

@flwwhtrbt@mastodon.social A little while back I was inspired to pull my old Cowon D2 out of a closet. There really is just something nice about having an offline tiny device that doesn't need a complicated operating system or anything to function. It doesn't have fancy features like USB-C (or, uh, lol, micro-USB, it's mini, hah โ it was made in 2008) or bluetooth (what is bluetooth? ๐ ) but it gets the job done still shockingly well. We definitely lost something as a whole when everyone moved away from dedicated devices. They're just... nice.

@flwwhtrbt@mastodon.social I very much love this idea! I dug out my old iPod classic and have been wanting to flash it with #rockbox in this idea.

@flwwhtrbt@mastodon.social which Boox device are you using as an e-reader? Trying to escape Amazon's clutches.
