@flwwhtrbt@mastodon.social A little while back I was inspired to pull my old Cowon D2 out of a closet. There really is just something nice about having an offline tiny device that doesn't need a complicated operating system or anything to function. It doesn't have fancy features like USB-C (or, uh, lol, micro-USB, it's mini, hah — it was made in 2008) or bluetooth (what is bluetooth? 😁 ) but it gets the job done still shockingly well. We definitely lost something as a whole when everyone moved away from dedicated devices. They're just... nice.
