From the stand point of the system doing the funneling, the owners of those systems are responsible for the UX of their users.
There are no users, and no experience involved, not for the website that is being funneled. There are no returns either, unless the “agents” are paying for the access, which an API can solve in a better, more structured way for this kind of consumption.
As a UX Designer, the whole thing is really problematic.

@ricmac@mastodon.social I like your articles, the issue is that this one doesn’t make a case either for the website that is providing the data or for the users of that site. It is a fact that the LLM’s systems, and associated software, are currently breaking havoc on the web. If anything, the owners of the websites and services affected are trying to stop a deluge of unwanted traffic, in many cases at the levels of DDoS attacks. This hurts the UX of the real users of the websites and services affected.
