@Hundstrasse@retro.pizza When I got my New 3DS, I totally expected to just ignore the 3D as a pointless gimmick, but when I actually saw it in action I just kinda fell in love with it haha. I had to start using it at half strength at first, but now I am used to it more and can push it all the way. Bravely Default has some shots that just look GORGEOUS in 3D.

@Hundstrasse@retro.pizza i used to disable it all the time, but nowadays I keep the slider up. It's one of the things that makes the experience pretty unique (it's also a lot better on the New 3DS's).

@Hundstrasse@retro.pizza when I had the 3DS XL with most games the slider would only be halfway up. With intense games where controls cause movement of the handheld it didn’t work out too well. Like with Ace Combat. When the N3DS XL came out I upgraded day one and the slider hasn’t been down ever since. Only to try and see how a game would look without 3D. Or with a Pokemon game where framerate during battle was so incredibly low. I love the feature and it makes games look even better.

@Hundstrasse@retro.pizza I own the launch model of the 3DS and 3D only works for me if I don't move the screen too much while playing. That's the reason why I turn off 3D most of the time. 😥

@Hundstrasse@retro.pizza I liked the 3D, I just can't do it for too long. It was cool though. I used it my entire first playthrough of Metroid Samus Returns and StarFox.

@Hundstrasse@retro.pizza It varies for me from game to game. I liked playing StarFox in 3D, because I found it much more immersive. The OoT remake / remaster did a great job with the 3D effect too, but I eventually turned it off after halfway through the game. Not sure if I really started getting headaches or if I was just over it at the time.

@Hundstrasse@retro.pizza I always have the 3D slider all the way up, unless I'm showing my game to someone else. I have a New 3DS XL, and the eye tracking function they added to that makes the 3D much more usable than with my brother-in-law's 3DS.
