Woman on Bench (2026). Inks on paper. I finally painted it. I realized I could just paint it in inks and not have to deal with acrylics. I can't make it look the same as the digital one this way, but I think it turned ok anyway. I haven't been able to take myself seriously as a fine artist, because my intellectual level when it comes to art is sub par. I know proper artists that if they knew the true extent of my intellectual level relating to art, they would just laugh and laug. Tears ok? Tears rolling down their face. These are the type of people who will study several branches of science, anthropology, sociology, architecture, history and archeology, and then draw a stick figure licking a lollipop. And everyone will just ooh and aah. And I mean, rightly so because there's a lot of work behind it, and they can properly explain how the lollipop ties everything in the universe together. I'm just not the same type of machine. I just like to draw spontaneously most of the time, and see what my subconscious can surprise me with. @ravachol@social.vivaldi.net who cares about the intelectual level of art. i love people who create for the sake of it. fuck those pretentious artists, and just paint and create what you're feeling like doing! we don't need a second anish kapoor, we need more people having fun being creative. your painting is amazing, it's evocative of klimt! i love it! ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜

  • @ravachol@social.vivaldi.net Without boring you to tears as to the why, that piece of art is 100% my bag. I dig it. The serenity of the woman's face, the background, the way she seems to emit a feeling of peace in a shimmering, moving environment. And I thought I recognised your name...you're the founder of Kew! I've used Kew every day for the last year or so. Genuinely my favourite piece of software on my computer. Have faith in yourself my friend, in all things, your expression is important and valued.
