#parkrun number 230 for me today, managed to take off a little bit of time compared to last week. Had an easy day yesterday so was feeling pretty good this morning, made it round in 31:48 I've been doing some longer runs with friends and that's definitely helping both with speed and stamina. I've lost some weight too, though that's a secondary benefit and not the main thing I'm going for. It's certainly nice to get to the point where I'm actually enjoying #running again ๐Ÿ™‚ #runnersofMastodon

I've made some really good progress this year - I'd been losing fitness and had got heavier and most of my 5k times had been between 36-38 minutes until recently. Improvements seem to be slowing down but I'm fine with that, it takes as long as it takes and I don't want to rush things. I would *love* to get a sub-30 time this year, but we'll have to see how things go.

@edchivers@dice.camp I ran for about 15 years but recently developed problems with my lower back that may (or may not) be related. Just got a steroid injection and am starting to feel the effects. Out of caution, I'm going to switch to swimming.

@edchivers@dice.camp lovely to hear this ๐Ÿ˜Š I've been parkrunning for 16 years now, getting slower and slower, but love the vibe, always so friendly, and always a great way to start the weekend #parkrun
