My beloved white-throated sparrows are everywhere right now, digging in the leaf litter, chasing each other, singing, calling, and surveying their (temporary, as they're only passing through) domains. #birds #birding #sparrows

@idzie@kolektiva.social they are wonderful aren't they? I thought all ours had left, but of the past few days, I've seen a few, maybe a later wave. We do have some that stick around and nest, I've always wondered if our winter birds are from farther north and our summer ones spend the winter farther south!

@idzie@kolektiva.social What has startled me about these birds is how lovely they really are. When you watch them feeding, they are just beautiful little birds. It makes me very happy to have them around.
