Happy Renter’s Rights Act day! Won’t somebody think of the landlords!?! No. Also what’s with the slightly creepy photo on the BBC article?

@FloatingOnion@cyberplace.social The Make Women Look Tiny from High Vantage Point photo? Yeah weird. Also i have zero sympathy whenever it's mentioned "landlords have to sell up" GOOD. Fuck'em. Houses should be homes, not investments.

@FloatingOnion@cyberplace.social As a landlord (spending part of today supervising various repairs going on at a rental property) I haven't seen any obvious serious problems with the new legislation. The pets thing might turn out to be an issue, but the big problem, for some people, will be the wait for a court date to get bad tenants evicted whilst they continue to trash the property, pay no rent or council tax or utilities, and make the neighbours' lives hell.
