The pub I’m in is showing the Grand Prix. Safety Car driver must be one of the funnest jobs there is.

@feorag@wandering.shop Apparently it's really difficult to drive fast enough to keep the race cars warm and avoid pissing off the competitors. Even in whatever high-end souped-up road car they're using these days. (The comment above was from many years ago when they were using some kind of AMG Mercedes -- an SL, I think).
