The press is doing a lot of parsing of Trump's stated military objectives etc. That's High Church sanewashing. We need to be more honest. The war has no real objectives that the military, diplomats, etc. can process in a rational way. (Obviously there is stuff like "distract from Epstein" but that's external to the logic that would either win or end the war -- that is, you can't put it in the ceasefire or surrender terms.)
