@Mr0 @jdw Well they did donate money/hardware to both and did promote both on official channels, which I would say counts as supporting. I know the decision was most likely entirely business motivated for them with little regards for anything else, but again, so was IBM's decision to sell and service computers for the NSDAP in the 40s. Not saying the severity is the same, but the reasoning behind and spirit of are. Especially given that there *are* companies who try to be ethical including on the topic of human rights and not supporting and normalizing fascism. For the record, tho, Framework was also my preferred brand and I really wanted to get a Framework 16, until I learned of all this. It took many people by surprise.

@engideer It took me by surprise too. That said, I have wrestled with the underlining moral dilemma of living in a capital centric world and it's borderline impossible to not have "blood on your hands" morally speaking either knowingly or unknowingly, one could try to be a monk or something but I believe there is still a moral burden for not being of a greater service to others but at the same time, I don't believe one should just surrender completely to others.

@engideer @Mr0 @jdw It seems that Frameworks questionable loyalty to Omarchy has not been reciprocated... DHH has recently inked a deal with Dell Computers to supply Omarchy pre-loaded on Dell XPS computers and he is therefore now professing his love for all things Dell. https://www.dell.com/en-us/blog/year-of-the-linux-laptop-omarchy-on-xps/
