Tonight's home grown bean is Good Mother Stallard. Not only holds its shape, but unlike any other bean I've ever eaten, the pattern on the skin is preserved.

@stephen@ephemera.vital.org.nz we grew some red borlotti last year that looked spectacular and I was deeply disappointed that the colour disappears instantly when you cook them.
