Here is a video of (the same?) VDG accelerator starting up, the sound of the motor/belt and the glow of the RF ion source is mesmerizing

@ozon Hm, very interesting! Judging by the floor and a few other details it might very well be the same machine, but it looks like it underwent an overhaul. The blog post I linked said it will be torn down, maybe instead it got refurbished? I can't find a way to contact the blog author, or the upolader of this video :/
