I have a habit of coming up with an idea for something I want to make and easily find that thing has already been made but it’s not just what I wanted, then I end up doing it from scratch
This steamdeck stand was this week’s boondoggle. I just want a simple stand and didn’t want geometries that are unnecessarily hard to print and waste material.
This one is 34 grams and just four simple perimeters.
Shout out to Valve for posting the #steamdeck CAD to make this easy.

@amd I do that regularly. I don't see it as a boondoggle; I see it as using the tools I have. Sure it takes longer, but the sense of satisfaction is usually more important than the final artifact.
