Good day. I have a geographical garden question:
In North America we call the whole, non-built part of the property a yard. The grass is called the lawn, and the garden (if there is one) is the area with exposed soil where we grow flowers, vegetables, etc.
So in the UK, where our yard is your garden, what do you call what we call a garden?

@TheZorse@hear-me.social It's all garden, but... A paved area might be called a patio, there may be a veg patch, or decking, all these are in the garden. We only call it a yard if there is nowhere to grow plants in the ground.
