@Karstan@pdx.social imo i think this is one of the major issues with women's lib which not a bad thing at all buy it required men to become more self sufficient, which on a whole, is not taught. they are trained to believe someone will always take care of them, albeit home-life or work. ive experienced this learned helplessness at work with male lawyers who dont think they need to learn menial tasks required to work in a law office (as i was told, a secretary does that shit). in my past relationship, i swear that my ex said they were an anarchist just so they could claim all their laziness was just not participating in mainstream capitalist society (that being said, they would chronically forget to pay car insurance, get their DL renewed, have their phone shut off constantly, try to get out of paying taxes, constantly "forgetting" to pay bills up to and including getting sued for non-payment....because their reasoning being that they shouldnt "have" to do these things).
