@dobbie003@fosstodon.org Totally agree. It is the best hw out there. Don't expect the same insane battery life and hibernation (as in deep sleep mode), that is reported as not being very good (yet). But still M1 and M2 are very feature complete by now. And how cool is that MBP with Gentoo on it? Yessir!

@thesaigoneer@social.linux.pizza @dobbie003@fosstodon.org Fedora is the main asahi distro. But there’s flavors for gentoo, Debian, arch, void, maybe even alpine by now. I used to have slackware running but I lack dedication to a single platform and basically no one cared. lol But yeah most M1/2 machines are all supported and it runs great. Would recommend.

@thesaigoneer agree about the quality of hardware. I'll probably wait another 18 months or so if I'm going to use Linux on my MacBook, but yes. Gentoo on a MacBook Pro! Epic.
