@count @techokami For sure. Even deep in computer science there's stuff that is pretty close to magic. My favorites are in the cryptography space, stuff like error correcting codes, secret sharing schemes, and multiparty computation.

@jaseg @techokami well that's just advanced tech still involving causality. quantum physics is basically probability only 😬 I'm still not convinced some of the rules of physics applying to us wouldn't apply to us if we weren't inside a black hole - which we might not have a chance to confirm or deny 🤔

@jaseg @count @techokami error correcting codes are just systems of linear equations, it's just high-school-level maths...
